Ingredients
Fruit Mixture
½csugar
½cbrown sugar
2Tbspcornstarch
1cwater
2Tbsplemon juice
4csliced peaches
2cblueberriesor any berry of choice
Biscuit Crust
1 ½cplain flour
¾csugar
¾cmilk
½buttermelted
Sugar Topping
2TbspRaw or regular sugar
Raw sugar gives a golden color and crunchy texture
¼tspnutmeg
Instructions
Fruit Mixture
Combine in a saucepan ½ c sugar, ½ c brown sugar, cornstarch and water. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until thickened. Add 2 Tbsp lemon juice, 4 c peaches and 2 cups berries. Stir well.
Pour mixture into a 13x9 baking dish.
Biscuit Crust
Mix 1 ½ c flour with ¾ c sugar. Stir in milk and melted butter. Mixture will be thick.
Place spoonfuls of batter on top of fruit mixture, spreading to almost cover fruit, leaving some space for fruit to bubble up.
Sugar Topping
Sprinkle sugar and nutmeg mixture over top of batter.
Bake at 375 degrees for 40-45 minutes. Delicious with vanilla ice cream.
