Bourbon Molasses Steak Sauce
Using a saucepot placed over medium heat add the butter and onions. Once the onions start to caramelize add the garlic. When the garlic becomes fragrant deglaze the pot with the bourbon.
When the bourbon is reduced by half add the remainder of the ingredients. Reduce the heat to low and let simmer for 15 minutes. Once the sauce is thick remove from heat.
Pepper Crusted Strip Steak
Generously season each steak with salt on all sides. Next coat both sides of each steak with the crushed pepper being sure that they are fully coated.
Place the steaks on the hot grill and cook 3-5 minutes on each side with an internal temperature of 135° for medium rare.
Remove the steaks from the grill and let rest for 5 minutes. Serve with the delicious Bourbon Molasses Steak Sauce.
