“Talk to Me” The New Love Song From Kelsey Lamb

I was thinking about a clever title for this review of Kelsey Lamb’s new single “Talk to Me”. This time around though, this simple title speaks for itself. Kelsey can tell a sad story like few new artists can. There is just something in her voice that really sells the story. “Who’s Counting” and “Girl at the Bar” are songs that demonstrate her knack for “getting over you” songs. So when she mentioned “Talk to Me” I had a small bit of hesitation and thought to myself “Why fix something that’s not broken?”.

To be completely honest, I had to play “Talk to Me” a couple times over for me to realize I was wrong in my thinking. It’s so easy to put someone in one box or another. The writing on the wall was there quite literally for me too. Spending time with Kelsey in Daytona I knew that a song like “Talk to Me” would be very relevant to what’s going on in her personal life. After mentally breaking down the wall I had built around Kelsey Lamb, “Talk to Me” started to make sense.

Kelsey’s latest single is relevant to her, but also to many in   relationships. It’s a testament that the small things are really what matter. Grand gestures are grand, but it’s the everyday little things that holds everything together. “Talk to Me” is an anthem for real relationships.
