“Halfway Fell” The New Hit Single from Christie Huff

I am going to be upfront. I think “Halfway Fell” is a pop song. I am sure Christie Huff will have something to say, but I bring the genre up not as a bad thing. I just want to be honest with you and set the right expectations. That way whatever I say next is solid.

First off, I really want to stand and clap at Christie Huff’s vocals. They are full and powerful with a dash of sultriness that coats the ear like warm molasses. Christie is easily is in great class of artists including Selena Gomez, Ariana Grande and Katy Perry. Maybe even a class above. “Halfway Fell” really puts this point on full display. So much that I feel it’s even stadium ready.

Being a country bumpkin,  I sometimes have a hard time relating to music in the pop genre. Normally I have to pick either the beat or the message to hold on to. For me, normally the two don’t connect like in the country genre. “Halfway Fell” is a bit different. I have been in several relationships where they fell between love and hate. Given some time to reflect, it was just better to end them. I can imagine you have been in a relationship like this yourself. The crazy thing about “Halfway Fell” to me is that the sad undertone does not get in the way of how much of a pleasure it is to listen to.
