Sydni Cole Shines with Her New Single “Glitter”
I have featured an abundance of artists here at Southern Fellow. Sometimes songwriters get put on the shelf for one reason or the other. Someone is coming off the shelf and landing here on The Luncheonette. Sydni Cole might be new to you, but I have been following her career for the past two years. “Glitter,” her new single, is out everywhere and has solidified everything I like about Sydni as an artist.
“Why was Sydni put on a shelf?” is a question you might be itching for an answer to. Don’t feel alone. I’m sure she is scratching her head now as she reads this. So I’m going to be open about the subject. I have had a “crush” on Sydni from day one. It’s a feeling I know you all have experienced at one time or another with the guy at the coffee shop or the girl at the gym. Let’s not pretend you don’t know what I’m talking about. It’s all completely harmless. As someone who only wants to write with integrity, I never want the fictitious Sydni to get in the way of the person I’m talking about today.
Now that that’s out of the way, we can focus on “Glitter” and why I feel this single should have you listening to Sydni Cole. First, you should know by now that I have a hard lean toward more traditional country music. “Glitter” and Sydni’s other singles walk the line between the new and the old so well that they don’t feel repetitive or unfamiliar. Simply put, these songs bring a level of comfort that is uplifting and have you wishing for a life that’s a little more simple.
“Glitter,” her latest single, does stand out from her previous releases. It adds more grit to the grace that is synonymous with Sydni. This single is an anthem of self-love and respect. Not only that, “Glitter” has an authentic 90’s country vibe. Something many artists have tried to duplicate over the past decade, but few have done as well as Sydni.
"Glitter" from Sydni Cole
I Highly recommend you add “Glitter” to your favorite playlist. All the links you need are below. I believe she’s taking country music in a positive direction, and it’s an honor to be part of her journey. Sydni Cole is a valued member of our Southern Fellow family, and I look forward to following her musical career.
