Easy Fancy Steak Sauce

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 2/3 cup ketchup
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 shallots sliced
  • 1/2 tsp garlic sliced
  • 2 tbsp worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tbsp dijon mustard
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1/2 tsp allspice
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 1/4 tsp brown sugar

Instructions

  • In a medium saucepan combine all ingredients. Set range to medium high and bring simmer.
  • Let reduce for about 15 minutes. The sauce should stick to the back of a spoon. Reduce more if needed.
  • Remove from heat. Using a fine strainer or cheesecloth strain the sauce.
  • Serve with your favorite grilled steak.
